What is the difference between Sportsnet NOW and NHL LIVE?

NEW THIS SEASON: a subscription to SN NOW PREMIUM includes NHL LIVE. For more information click here.

NHL LIVE™ and Sportsnet NOW™ are opposite products from one another, serving two different types of sports fans. NHL LIVE is an out-of-market hockey product, while Sportsnet NOW is for multisport fans and NHL fans who want to choose the amount of hockey to watch.

SN NOW STANDARD ($14.99/month or $149.99/annually)

If you live in Edmonton and want to watch Oilers games, you would be able to watch all 82 of their games (39 national + 43 regional) without blackouts, making Sportsnet NOW the product for you.

SN NOW PREMIUM ($34.99/month or $249.99/annually)

SN NOW PREMIUM allows users to choose how much hockey they would like to watch.

SN NOW STANDARD allows a user to livestream 300+ regular season games, depending on where you live, while SN NOW PREMIUM includes access to NHL LIVE, giving access to over 1,000 games.

SN NOW PREMIUM also allows users to stream more non-hockey content, such as NBA, Bundesliga, FA Cup, IndyCar, National Rugby League and Premiership Rugby.

NHL LIVE

If you live in Winnipeg but want to watch the Montreal Canadiens (making you an out-of-market fan), or if you just want to watch the largest volume of NHL games possible, NHL LIVE would be the product that best suits your needs.

Note: Sportsnet is the sole rights-holder to the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks, as well as Toronto Maple Leafs games. Sportsnet does not own the regional rights to the Montreal Canadiens (50 games), Ottawa Senators (55 games) or Winnipeg Jets (60 games). As a result, only their national games are available with a Sportsnet NOW subscription.
